Latest Update: KEA has officially confirmed that the KCET 2026 result won’t be released before June 1, 2026. The delay is because of rescheduled Agriculture and Veterinary practical exams at the Hiriyur centre. Results are now expected in the first week of June.
I’ve been checking the KEA portal almost every hour for the past two days, and I know most of you are doing the same thing. The wait for KCET result 2026 is genuinely stressful, especially with this last-minute delay. But here’s the thing: the result is just around the corner, and it makes sense to stay informed rather than keep refreshing endlessly.
What’s the Current Status of KCET 2026 Result?
As of May 28, 2026, the result hasn’t been declared yet. KEA officially pushed the date because the University of Agricultural Sciences had to reschedule practical exams at the Hiriyur centre due to some logistical issues. Around 24,250 candidates who appeared for Agriculture and Veterinary practicals are affected. KEA won’t publish the final rank list until those marks are added in.

How to Check KCET 2026 Result When It’s Out
It’s pretty straightforward. Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea or kea.kar.nic.in
- Find the “UGCET 2026 Result” or “KCET 2026 Rank Card” link on the homepage
- Enter your Application Number and the first four characters of your name exactly as you filled in the form
- Hit submit, download the scorecard, and take a printout
Also bookmark karresults.nic.in as a backup. On result day, KEA servers slow down badly. Having alternate portals ready saves a lot of frustration.

What Your Rank Card Will Contain
Your scorecard shows subject-wise marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology depending on your stream. It also shows your total score, general rank, category rank, and whether you’ve qualified. Don’t lose this document. It’s needed at every stage of counselling.
Documents to Keep Ready Before Counselling
Start gathering these now, don’t wait for the result:
- KCET 2026 Rank Card
- 10th and 12th marksheets
- Study/domicile certificate from Karnataka
- Caste or income certificate if applicable
- Aadhaar card or any valid photo ID
- Passport-size photographs
Pro tip: Get at least 5 photocopies of your income certificate and caste certificate before going to the verification centre. They ask for more copies than you’d expect, and scrambling to find a xerox shop near the centre isn’t fun.
Why the Delay Isn’t Necessarily a Bad Thing
Honestly, KEA making sure all 24,250 practical candidates’ marks are counted before publishing ranks is the right call. A rushed rank list with missing data causes disputes, re-evaluations, and counselling delays. A few extra days now saves months of headache later.
What You Should Be Doing Right Now
Don’t just sit around waiting. Use this time well:
- Participate in mock seat allotment rounds on the KEA portal (ongoing till May 30)
- Use previous year cutoff data to shortlist colleges realistically
- Check college-wise cutoffs for RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT, and your preferred government colleges
- Keep your documents organized and ready to submit
What’s Next After the Result?
Once ranks are out, counselling kicks off pretty quickly. You’ll go through document verification, option entry, mock allotment, and then final seat allotment. The whole process runs through June and July 2026, with classes starting around August or September.
If you’ve done well, great. If the rank isn’t what you hoped for, COMEDK and management quota options are still open. Don’t panic before you’ve seen the actual numbers.
